Conclusions of the conference were presented at the final round-
table discussion. Norman Santorius of the World Health
Organisation, who chaired the discussion, commended Croatia's
psychological and social care for war veterans suffering from war
traumas.
Participants also concluded that PTSD as a delayed occurrence
rarely manifested itself a long time after the experience of a
trauma.
Under the conclusions, people suffering from PTSD should be offered
employment through various programmes and all competent
institutions should become more actively involved in solving
veterans' problems.
