ZAGREB, May 10 (Hina) - Croatian President Stjepan Mesic joined on Saturday, on the occasion of World Walking Day, in an event called "Breakfast on the Grass" at Zagreb's recreational centre Jarun. The event is part of a campaign of
the Health Ministry promoting healthy food and physical activity.

Saturday, on the occasion of World Walking Day, in an event called
"Breakfast on the Grass" at Zagreb's recreational centre Jarun. The

Together with other participants in the event Mesic took a walk
round the Jarun Lake and joined in the breakfast and entertainment
programme.
Health Minister Andro Vlahusic said the campaign would last five
years and its purpose was to move people to make positive changes in
their lifestyle and health. Important factors affecting health
include food and physical activity, the minister said.
Prime Minister Ivica Racan's wife Dijana Plestina, Zagreb deputy
mayor Milan Bandic, former athlete Zeljko Mavrovic and other public
figures and numerous residents of Zagreb took part in the walk at
Jarun.
