ZAGREB, May 6 (Hina) - A Great Britain-based international Foundation for Environmental Education and the Croatian movement of friends of nature, "Lijepa nasa", will this year give out the international Blue Flag awards to the
concessionaires of 61 beaches and 16 marinas in Croatia.

international Blue Flag awards to the concessionaires of 61 beaches

Among the winners of the Blue Flag are 26 companies and five units of
local self-government.
The exclusive eco-labels will be given out on May 16 in Rabac.
The largest number of Blue Flags will be awarded to the Plava Laguna
tourist company from Porec, i.e. nine, and the Istraturist company
from Umag, i.e. seven.
The towns of Porec, Rab and Novalja and municipalities of Brela,
Omisalj and Baska will be awarded for the maintenance and
cleanliness of beaches.
Opatija's ACI-Club will receive most awards for the cleanliness of
ten of its marinas from Umag in the north of the Adriatic to
Dubrovnik in the south.
