ZAGREB, April 29 (Hina) - Indirect tax supervision, i.e. the

so far included 568 physical persons and the Tax Administration has

Of the 3.5 million kuna that taxpayers need to pay almost no
payments have been made to date. A small amount has been paid in
Varazdin, Tax Administration officials say.
These figures are included in preliminary reports on indirect tax
supervision which was launched on February 6 and refer to
inspections carried out by the end of this March.
Indirect tax supervision means the comparison of the acquired
property (real estate such as apartments, houses, land; moveables
such as cars, yachts, airplanes, as well as money, securities,
ownership shares) and reported income (from dependent and
independent work, property, property rights, investment and
insurance income).
The basic principle tax collectors were governed by in indirect tax
supervision were the most obvious examples of discrepancies in
acquired property and reported income, the head of the Tax
Administration, Milan Trbojevic, said.
This, for example, refers to tax payers who reported an income of
100,000 kuna and bought a piece of real estate worth seven million
kuna, Trbojevic said.
Finance Minister Mato Crkvenac said that the Tax Administration
would continue to implement indirect supervision and stressed its
importance for social justice.
