BANJA LUKA, April 26 (Hina) - Ties between politicians and
criminals in Bosnia-Herzegovina are often close and if a politician
opposes reforms, one needs to wonder why is that, High
Representative in Bosnia Paddy Ashdown told Saturday's issue of the
Banja Luka daily Nezavisne Novine. #L#
Ashdown confirmed that a list of 25 persons from Bosnia, banned from
entering EU countries, has been composed and added that another 100
people from the Balkans could be added to that list.
Apart from criminals, the list also includes individuals from
Bosnia connected with war crimes, he said. According to him
recently arrested businessman Momcilo Mandic and former head of the
Pale municipality Milovan Bjelica are first on the list.
Mandic and Bjelica are suspected of financially helping the hiding
of war criminals Radovan Karadjic and Ratko Mladic.
