GOSPIC, April 14 (Hina) - The Gospic County Court on Monday again
decided that Ivica Rozic can defend himself in freedom. #L#
Rozic is indicted for bombing Serb returnees homes in the Lika
region from 1996 until 1998, killing six.
The County Court decided on March 27 that he can defend himself in
freedom, but the county prosecution appealed the decision before
the Supreme Court, so the court today again debated Rozic's
detention.
"After a discussion the court decided there are no legal
foundations to remand the accused Rozic in custody, which means he
will be defending himself in freedom. The main hearing will be
scheduled very soon," the Gospic County Court president, Pave
Rukavina, said.
Rozic was acquitted of charges in the so-called Gospic Group case by
Rijeka County Court and released from detention on March 24.
