ZAGREB, April 2 (Hina) - In an effort to improve the situation in Southeast Europe, Croatia's accession to the European Union would be favourable. Serbia & Montenegro will need international help and Bosnia & Herzegovina will not

Croatia is an organised country and it could easily become a
candidate for membership of the EU as early as today, Croatian
parliament Vice President and president of the Foreign Affairs
Committee, Zdravko Tomac, said. "We will help stabilise the so-
called Western Balkans but we do not wish to share its destiny
(...). This entire region can definitely be stabilised only when it
becomes a part of the EU and each country must be accepted on an
individual basis when it is ready," he said.
As Croatia claims that it sees its future in the EU, access to that
organisation is the only way for Bosnia also, Bosnian Ambassador to
Croatia Zlatko Dizdarevic said.
The murder of premier Zoran Djindjic will have several-fold
consequences for Serbia & Montenegro, Serbian Ambassador Milan
Simurdic said.
