Pejkovic told Hina Monday that the government had recently passed a
decree on conditions for purchasing state-owned property in areas
of state concern, but in order for the purchase of flats to begin,
the government must pass a special decision.
According to this decision, 2,600 flats owned by the Croatian
Privatisation Fund would be transferred to the state, i.e. the
Public Works, Construction and Reconstruction Ministry, after
which lease contracts would be concluded and the sale of the flats
could start, said Pejkovic.
He added that the government was also working on a possibility of
selling the rest of the housing fund in Vukovar.
