valid electoral law, moved by the parliamentary committee for the

the adjustment of the existing law to the Constitution and the
constitutional law on ethnic minorities' rights. #L#
The proposed amendments are technical referring mainly to the
adjustment to the Constitution's alterations under which the House
of Counties (upper house) was annulled and to the new law on
minorities' rights which provides for eight instead of the previous
five seats for representatives of national minorities in the
Sabor.
The start of the plenary session has been shifted from Wednesday,
when it usually begins, to Tuesday so that MPs can comply with the
constitutional obligation that the amendments to the existing
electoral law be adopted by 2 April , i.e. a year before
parliamentary elections.
