ZAGREB, March 28 (Hina) - The Croatian Radio-Television (HRT)
Directorate was established on Friday under the new law on HRT,
taking over the tasks of the HRT's Steering Council. #L#
The management comprises the director general, the directors of
Croatian Television (HTV) and Croatian Radio (HR), the HRT's Music
Unit, and a representative of the HRT's workers' council.
As applications for the leading positions envisaged by the new law
have not been invited yet, until the election of the general
director and directors of the HRT's business units, the directorate
will comprise temporary general director Mirko Galic, temporary
HTV director Vanja Sutlic, temporary HR director Ivanka Lucev, the
temporary director of the Music Unit, Josip Guberina, and a
representative of the workers' council, Branimir Bilic.
The directorate makes decisions about property management and
investments and adopts development plans and work programmes and
business reports. The management is also in charge of adopting
financial plans and the final balance, following the HRT's
performance and passing general regulations, not including those
which are within the jurisdiction of the future programme council.
The directorate submits at least one report annually to the
council.
The directorate will pass decisions by a majority vote.
