Croatia and one for an UMTS license -- third generation mobile
telephony -- will be announced in late June, the chairman of the
Council for Telecommunications, Zeljko Debanic, said Tuesday. #L#
The telecommunications council, established in mid-2002, has a
task of stimulating market competition, creating a positive
climate for new investments and caring for the quality and prices of
services of operators.
Concession prices have been established for both licenses -- for
UMTS 132 million kuna, and for UMTS and GSM jointly, 182 million
kuna per annum.
The annual compensation for a concession for fixed telephony is 40
million kuna. Interested parties are expected to place their offers
for this network during the year.
