ZAGREB, March 25 (Hina) - The Croatian Securities' Commission gained full membership of the Consulting Group of the future EU member countries at a meeting of the group's market capital regulators held in Budapest on March 17 and 18,

member countries at a meeting of the group's market capital

The Croatian commission submitted an application for membership on
February 26 after Croatia submitted its official application for
full membership of the EU in Athens on February 21.
The Consulting Group for EU comprises of ten countries which will
gain EU full membership in 2004 and Bulgaria and Romania as well as
countries which are expected to join the EU in 2007. Turkey and
Albania have the status of an observer.
The objective of the Consulting Group is to harmonise laws
regarding market capital with EU standards.
