ZAGREB, March 24 (Hina) - Deputy Croatian Foreign Minister Ivan Simonovic on Monday received a European Parliament delegation for relations with Southeast European countries headed by Doris Pack, the Croatian Foreign Ministry

Simonovic on Monday received a European Parliament delegation for
relations with Southeast European countries headed by Doris Pack,
the Croatian Foreign Ministry reported. #L#
Pack and members of the delegation expressed full support to
Croatia's endeavours to access the European Union following its
official application to the Greek presidency of the EU. The
delegation expressed hope that Croatia would use its positive
example to assist countries in its neighbourhood, the ministry's
statement said.
Particular interest was expressed in Croatia's realisation of
political terms, particularly, co-operation with the Hague-based
war crimes tribunal and co-operation with countries in the region.
Simonovic informed the delegation of Croatia's stance towards the
Iraqi war and expressing regret that the disarmament of Iraq was not
achieved through political means. He further expressed Croatia's
readiness to contribute to the post-war reconstruction of Iraq that
would be oriented to the development of democracy and the rule of
the law.
