ZAGREB, March 17 (Hina) - Croatia has 300,000 registered alcoholics and over 900,000 people are directly or indirectly affected by the problem of alcoholism, it was said at Monday's session of the parliamentary committee on labour,
social policy, and health.

The session called "The Truth About Alcohol - Shattering
Prejudices" was organised in bids to provide an answer as to what a
new law on measures aimed at preventing the harmful effect of
alcoholic beverages on people's health should have.
