UMAG, March 12 (Hina) - The president of the Bujstina Fishermen's Guild, Zeljko Majdenic, has voiced satisfaction with the arrest of crew members of two Slovene fishing boats which were discovered fishing in Croatian territorial
waters off the coast of Istria. Majdenic said the Croatian maritime police "finally began to treat Slovene fishermen in poaching the same as it treats Italian". The captains of the two fishing boats which were discovered 0.9 nautical miles inside Croatian territory were taken before a magistrate in Pula on Wednesday. They will be charged. Slovene media relayed a statement by the boats' owner that the boats had been fishing in international, not Croatian waters.(hina) lml sb
