a council in charge of the privatisation of the INA oil company, the

Premier Ivica Racan was appointed council chairman, while Vice-
Premiers Slavko Linic and Goran Granic and Ministers Mate Crkvenac,
Zeljko Pecek, Radimir Cacic, Ljubo Jurcic and Bozo Kovacevic were
appointed its members.
Binding offers for the purchase of 25% plus one INA share were
submitted by Austria's OMV, Hungary's MOL and Russia's Rosneft.
The offers were publicly opened on January 17.
As was announced earlier, the offers were evaluated by the
government's advisors on INA's privatisation. It is expected that
potential partners will be invited to take part in additional talks
and asked to submit final binding offers.
According to statements given so far, the sale of INA shares should
be completed by the end of March.
