ZAGREB/STRASBOURG, Feb 27 (Hina) - The Council of Europe Secretary General, Walter Schwimmer, will visit Croatia in early March to discuss the six years of Croatia's membership of the oldest European organisation, as well as Croatia's
recent application for EU membership.

General, Walter Schwimmer, will visit Croatia in early March to
discuss the six years of Croatia's membership of the oldest
European organisation, as well as Croatia's recent application for

According to a statement issued by the Council of Europe on
Thursday, Schwimmer will hold talks with Croatian officials in
Zagreb on March 3 and 4 on the strengthening of cooperation between
Zagreb and the organisation, as well as issues important for
Croatia such as the return of refugees, reforms in the judiciary and
cooperation with the UN war crimes tribunal at The Hague.
Schwimmer will be received by Croatian President Stjepan Mesic,
Prime Minister Ivica Racan and Foreign Minister Tonino Picula.
According to the statement, the CoE official will also meet
Croatian Justice Minister Ingrid Anticevic Marinovic, European
Integration Minister Neven Mimica and Parliament President Zlatko
Tomcic.
