ZAGREB, Feb 24 (Hina) - Hrvoje Sarinic, a former chief-of-staff of the late Croatian president, Franjo Tudjman, on Monday wrapped up the first day of giving a statement to investigators of the international war crimes tribunal (ICTY).
He told reporters after the interview that he had not been questioned as a suspect. The interview was an informative one relating to the indictment of former Yugoslav president Slobodan Milosevic, he said.

the first day of giving a statement to investigators of the
international war crimes tribunal (ICTY). He told reporters after
the interview that he had not been questioned as a suspect. The
interview was an informative one relating to the indictment of
former Yugoslav president Slobodan Milosevic, he said. #L#
Sarinic said it was possible that he appear as witness in the trial
against Milosevic before the ICTY, if necessary.
"We discussed all events from 1991, as well as my subsequent
negotiations with Milosevic. The focus was establishing
Milosevic's connection with the leaderships of Krajina Serbs and
the Yugoslav People's Army," Sarinic said.
He added that the talks had not mentioned one subject labelled state
secret.
