Participating in a round-table focusing on exports and
entrepreneurship as a lever for development in Prelog, Crkvenac
announced various incentives for exports -- from direct ones and
economic diplomacy to loans and guarantees by the Croatian Bank for
Reconstruction and Development.
He said that investments into research and development in economy
would be recognised as tax relief. He believes that local and
regional self-governments should play a bigger role in
consolidating the export ability of companies and in strengthening
entrepreneurship.
Economy Minister Ljubo Jurcic said he expected an imminent adoption
of a law on technology parks, as well as a strategy for wood, metal
production and textile industry, which is particularly important
for northwestern Croatia.
