ZAGREB, Feb 19 (Hina) - The head of the World Bank Croatia Office, Indira Konjhodzic, and Finance Minister Mato Crkvenac on Wednesday signed a contract on a US$350,000-worth World Bank deed of donation, intended for a renewable energy
sources project.

signed a contract on a US$350,000-worth World Bank deed of
donation, intended for a renewable energy sources project. #L#
The donation will be used for exploring the possibilities of
development of renewable energy sources and preparing such
projects.
This is the 29th World Bank deed of donation granted to Croatia.
Since 1995, the World Bank has donated Croatia close to 15.1 million
dollars, of which almost eight million was spent, while 5.6 million
remains available. Around 1.1 million dollars worth of donations
was cancelled. So far, 21 deeds of donation have been closed and the
World Bank has been preparing deeds of donation for several other
projects.
World Bank donations to Croatia were intended for different
purposes and projects, from the adjustment of the public sector and
environmental protection to reforms in the health sector and social
and economic recovery.
