"Many elements indicate that President Mesic in this case acted
illegally and became illegally involved in the privatisation,"
said Pasalic.
He believes that the fact that Russian investors had come to the
President's office after the announced bid to purchase the
ironworks, and Mesic's statements regarding the signing of a
contract, or not signing a protocol on the intent to purchase,
demand a parliament discussion on relieving the president of his
duties and an intervention by state bodies to show everything that
was illegal in the sale of the ironworks.
In reply to a reporter's question, Pasalic said that a solution to
the current situation in Croatia was a change in government.
