permanent International Criminal Court (ICC) were elected on
Tuesday at the United Nation's headquarters in New York. #L#
The first seven out of the proposed 18 judges were elected by
representatives of 85 countries that have so far ratified the Rome
Statute of this court.
The six of the judges, elected among 43 candidates by secret ballot,
are women.
The remaining 11 should be elected on Monday from a list of the rest
of 36 candidates, including a Croatian university professor and
expert on criminal procedural and international procedural law,
Ivo Josipovic.
