Some opposition parties, even though they supported the
referendums, were reserved as to the way in which they will be
conducted.
The Social Democrats and Christian Democrats claim that due to the
advisory nature of both referendums, it could happen that Slovenes
vote on the issue twice.
Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel hopes that agreement will be
reached with the Opposition and that a definition of constitutional
changes rendering referendums a binding means of decision-making
would be determined at a session of the constitutional commission
next week.
The Slovene government on Thursday granted an additional million
euros for providing information to voters about the two
organisations.
