ZAGREB, Jan 29 (Hina) - Croatia's pharmaceutical company Pliva announced Wednesday it would change the name of its outlet in America, Sidmak Laboratories Inc., into Pliva Inc. Pliva made this decision so as to make it a recognisable
brand name in America.

The Sidmak company in New Jersey was Pliva's most recent
acquisition abroad. It was purchased last June.
By acquiring Sidmak, Pliva made a forceful entrance into "the
largest and most potent global pharmaceutical market", the
company's officials say. The company has thus made significant
headway in realising its own plan, which is to become a global
pharmaceutical player.
