The chief risk factor for the potential fall of the index of
Croatia's stability is the possibility of union protests due to
amendments to the Labour Act.
This month Croatia advanced one place and is currently on the 11th
place, after Hungary, Poland, Mexico, Thailand, Bulgaria, South
Africa, China and the Philippines.
Gauging the LESGI stability index is conducted by an American
consulting company, "Euroasia Group", in cooperation with the
Lehman Brothers investment bank.
The index measures the stability of countries in transition and
other countries from all parts of the world, their potential and
resistance to internal crises.
