ZAGREB/MONS, Jan 17 (Hina) - The newly-appointed Croatian Armed Forces Chief-of-Staff, Josip Lucic, and Assistant Defence Minister Jelena Grcic Polic visited Belgium's town of Mons on Friday where they took part in a reception on
occasion of a new NATO troops commander in Europe assuming office, the Croatian Mission in NATO reported.

US General James Jones has replaced the now former NATO commander in
Europe, General Joseph Ralston.
This is Lucic's first public appearance in his new capacity, after
Croatian President Stjepan Mesic appointed him chief-of-staff
yesterday.
A meeting of all present chiefs-of-staff with generals Jones and
Ralston was organised on this occasion.
