The two ministers will continue their talks on Tuesday and the head
of Greece's diplomacy will also be received by head of state Stjepan
Mesic and Premier Ivica Racan.
Papandreou's visit to Zagreb is part of a tour to five Southeast
European countries (Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Yugoslavia,
Macedonia and Albania).
Earlier in the day in Macedonia, the first stop on his tour,
Papandreou stated that the door to the European Union remains open
to Balkan countries.
Greece, which is chairing the EU in this year's first six months,
places priority on strengthening relations between the Union and
the five Southeast European countries involved in the
Stabilisation and Association process.
