The present system of the Council's work must be changed into a more
logical system, one that would be more adequate for the Croatian
public, a representative of the Croatian Television, Silvija Luks,
said.
Assistant Culture Minister Jadran Antolovic said that a new law on
the HRT was aimed at having experts and competent people manage the
HRT and making the Council a representative of the public.
Under the new law, the HRT Council, made up of 11 members, would
become the central decision-making body which would be appointed by
the Croatian parliament. The Council would appoint the HRT's
general director.
