The art colony from the eastern Croatian municipality of Ernestinovo, which recently reclaimed 38 sculptures and reliefs, is seeking around 300 more paintings and sculptures which were once part of its 600-item collection.
Apart from icons from the Serb Orthodox church in the eastern village of Bobota, which were also reclaimed, three more icons will be returned to the church early next year, Sulc said.
The official also said that part of the Croatian cultural heritage was stored at the National Museum in Belgrade and the Museum of the Serb Orthodox Church, as well as at the Institute for the Protection of Cultural Monuments in Novi Sad and the patriarchate office in Sremski Karlovci.
The next meeting of representatives from Croatia and Serbia and Montenegro on the continuation of property restitution is scheduled for February next year.
