"We will solve the POA case primarily because I want to respect the Constitution and because neither the president of the state nor the prime minister can be presented with an accomplished fact, which is what the President has done," Sanader said at Zagreb's central cemetery of Mirogoj, where he laid a wreath and lit a candle at the grave of the first Croatian president, Franjo Tudjman, on the fifth anniversary of his death.
"I want to remedy that situation although I am not responsible for it, and it is certain that we will have to continue with the good practice which has existed in previous years when it comes to the cooperation between the president of the state and the prime minister in the area of intelligence services."
Sanader dismissed reports in today's papers that he had relieved POA chief Josko Podbevsek of duty.
