CROATIAN CULTURE MINISTER OPENS EXHIBITION IN BARCELONA

BARCELONA, Nov 4 (Hina) - A Croatian exhibition on Roman Emperor Augustus' temple in the former colony Narona, present-day Vid near Metkovic, southern Croatia, was opened at Barcelona's Historical Museum on Thursday.

The exhibition, which closes on January 31, was opened by Croatian Culture Minister Bozo Biskupic, under whose auspices it was opened.

The "Augusteum Narone" exhibition was prepared by the Archeological Museum of Split, Croatia. It has already been presented in Split and in Oxford, Great Britain. After Spain it will tour Rome, while Zagreb will be able to see it in June 2005.

Barcelona Mayor Joan Clos commended Croatia for the presentation of its cultural heritage.

While in Barcelona, Biskupic held talks with Catalonian Culture Minister Caterina Mieras i Barcelo.
