TROGIR, Aug 9 (Hina) - The Second International Tenors' Competition
opened in the coastal town of Trogir on Sunday evening with an exhibition of
paintings by Emanuel Vidovic.
Vidovic's paintings had last been displayed in Zagreb in 1937.
Participating in the tenors' competition, which is being held under the
auspices of Croatian President Stjepan Mesic, are 11 young singers from Korea,
eight European countries, and Croatia. They will be evaluated by a seven-member
international jury.
The competition is taking place in St. Peter's Church on August 10-12 and
ends with a special concert by the awarded tenors to be attended by President
Mesic.
