VIENNA, May 14 (Hina) - The project of uniting Europe cannot be completed without Croatia, the Archbishop of Vienna, Cardinal Christoph Schoenborn, has said, voicing hope that Croatia will be admitted to the European Union during the second wave of the Union's expansion.#L# Croatia belongs in Europe in the geographical and historical terms, the dignitary told Austrian and foreign reporters who gathered for their annual meeting with this Austrian cardinal in Vienna on Thursday evening. He voiced confidence that in the second round of the EU enlargement, Croatia would become its full member, although Zagreb still had much to do in terms of reforms. Cardinal Schoenborn concluded that "it cannot happen that Turkey enters the EU before Croatia". The annual meeting of Cardinal Schoenborn with reporters focused on Central European Catholic Days. The major part of this event is scheduled to take place in the Marian shrine of Mariazell, Austria, from 21 to 23 May. European Commission President Romano Prodi and top officials of central European countries, including Croatia's Prime Minister Ivo Sanader and Culture Minister Bozo Biskupic, are expected to attend the main Eucharistic celebration on 22 May.
