ZAGREB, May 9 (Hina) - The heads of the coordinating body of the Trade
Union of Croatian Metal Workers (SMH) in Koncar said on Sunday they
were shocked at accusations by Velimir Delong, former director of the
Koncar-TIZ Group, against the president of the
Koncar-Elektroindustrija Management Board, Darinko Bago.#L#
Koncar Union leaders said Bago "always understood union problems and
was always solving them by respecting the collective agreement in
entirety".
Former foreign minister Mate Granic and Koncar CEO Darinko Bago,
suspected by the Office for the Prevention of Corruption and Organised
Crime (USKOK) of bribery, remained in custody for 48 hours according
to a decision of Zagreb County Court investigating judge Jadranka
Mandusic who interviewed them on Friday evening.
It is speculated that Granic mediated in a bribe demanded by Bago. The
amount reporters in front of the Zagreb County Court mentioned on
Friday ranged from 60,000 to 133,300 euros.
