central cemetery in the eastern town of Vinkovci on Sunday to
commemorate the massacre of 12 local police officers 13 years ago.#L#
The 12 members of the Vinkovci Police Department Special Unit were
killed in an ambush by Serb paramilitaries in Borovo near Vukovar on
May 2, 1991 at the very outset of the Homeland War.
The ceremony was attended by a delegation of the Interior Ministry and
the victims' families, comrades-in-arms and friends. A prayer was led
by the parish priest.
