MOSTAR, April 30 (Hina) - The European Union High Representative for Common Foreign and Security Policy, Javier Solana, said that a future EU forces (EUFOR), which are to succeed the NATO-led Stabilisation Force (SFOR) in
Bosnia-Herzegovina, would consist of 7,000 soldiers.
MOSTAR, April 30 (Hina) - The European Union High Representative for
Common Foreign and Security Policy, Javier Solana, said that a future
EU forces (EUFOR), which are to succeed the NATO-led Stabilisation
Force (SFOR) in Bosnia-Herzegovina, would consist of 7,000 soldiers.#L#
The exact date of the transfer of the authority between SFOR and EUFOR
has not yet been set, Solana told Sarajevo-based Dnevni Avaz daily of
Friday and added he expected this to take place in late 2004.
Solana said he was confident the transition from SFOR to EURFOR would
be quick and smooth, because about 80 percent of the current SFOR is
comprised of Europeans.
