of the European Union on May 1, Croatian Parliament President
Vladimir Seks sent letters to his counterparts in the ten countries
which would join the Union on 1 May.#L#
In the letters, Seks said that Croatia, as a country which was now
undergoing intensive processes of comprehensive reforms in order to
adjust its legislation to EU standards, was aware of the complexity of
criteria which the ten countries had to meet on their road towards
full EU membership.
According to a press realese issued by the Sabor on Friday, Seks sent
the letters not only the ten countries' parliament heads but also to
their citizens congratulating them on "commitment and strength they
showed while doing this important and demanding job".
