ZAGREB, April 15 (Hina) - The fourth and last round of negotiations between Croatia and the European Commission on Protocol VII, which determines export and import quotas in trade with European Union members, will be held in Brussels
on Friday, when the Protocol is likely to be initialled.

This was said on Thursday by European Integration Minister Kolinda
Grabar-Kitarovic and Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management
Minister Petar Cobankovic at a meeting with representatives of the
Croatian Employers Association and the association of agricultural
producers.
Quotas for most products have been harmonised in the previous three
rounds of negotiations, Cobankovic said, adding that yet to be
harmonised were quotas for about 20 products, of which the most
sensitive are meat, meat products, milk and dairy products.
He went on to say that producers who might encounter difficulties due
to the possible higher import of certain products would be helped
through bigger agricultural incentives.
Representatives of employers and agricultural producers supported the
Croatian negotiating team in their efforts to secure the best possible
position for the domestic agricultural and food industry, underlining
that domestic output should be made competitive and ready for export
as soon as possible.
