ZAGREB, March 17 (Hina) - The union of associations of disabled Homeland War veterans (HVIDR-a) issued a statement on Wednesday expressing its indignation at the proposal by local authorities in Zagreb's Maksimir district to change
the name of Avenija Gojka Suska (Gojko Susak Avenue) to Avenija izvidjaca (Scouts Avenue).

Homeland War veterans (HVIDR-a) issued a statement on Wednesday
expressing its indignation at the proposal by local authorities in
Zagreb's Maksimir district to change the name of Avenija Gojka Suska
(Gojko Susak Avenue) to Avenija izvidjaca (Scouts Avenue).#L#
"The proposal represents a continuation of efforts to degrade the
Homeland War and downplay the role of persons who in any way
contributed to the creation of Croatia," the statement said.
Gojko Susak was defence minister during the war.
