ZAGREB, March 14 (Hina) - The Croatian Adriatic Sea is the cleanest sea
at the Mediterranean and its ecological conditions have been improved
for a few years, the ADAC journal's manager for tourism, Max Stich,
said at the ITB tourism fair in Berlin on Saturday.#L#
According to 800 inspections of the quality of the sea which were
carried out from 1 May to 31 August 2003, no danger spot was noticed
at the Croatian part of the Adriatic, according to the latest issue of
this German monthly the excerpts of which were quoted by the Croatian
Vecernji List daily on Sunday.
Stich and the head of the Croatian National Tourist Board, Niko Bulic,
also singed an agreement on the monitoring of the sea quality this
summer.
