ZAGREB, Jan 29(Hina) - The Croatian Government on Thursday dismissed incorrect reports by some media on the establishment of the Council for Cooperation with the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY).#L# "Contrary to media reports, the Government of the Republic of Croatia made a decision to establish the Council for Cooperation with the ICTY and Other International Criminal Courts at its session on Thursday, 22 January 2004. Under the decision, the Justice Ministry will be in charge of cooperation with the International Tribunal in The Hague, so that all speculation on the renewed politicisation of cooperation with the Tribunal is unfounded," read a press release issued by the Government's Public Relations Office. The Council consists of Justice Minister Vesna Skare Ozbolt, who is also the Chair of the Council, Foreign Minister Miomir Zuzul, Interior Minister Marijan Mlinaric, Defence Minister Berislav Roncevic, Deputy Chief State Prosecutor Petar Pausalevic, Professor at the Zagreb School of Law Ivo Josipovic, and lawyer Goran Mikulicic. "The Government therefore resolutely rejects all speculation on the alleged secrecy regarding the foundation of the Council, and remains committed to full cooperation with the International Tribunal in The Hague," the press release said.
