ZAGREB, Jan 28(Hina) - Croatian President Stjepan Mesic on Tuesday evening received the head of the Spanish Navy, Admiral Francisco Terrento Sanchez, to discuss the two countries' military cooperation and how to promote it, the
President's Office said in a statement on Wednesday.

Sanchez expressed his country's readiness to assist Croatia in
military reforms. He said Croatia could use Spain's experience to
prepare itself for NATO membership.
The meeting was also attended by Spanish Ambassador to Croatia Alvaro
Sebastian de Erice Y Gomez Aceb
and Mesic's advisor on defence and military issues Petar Stipetic.
