SARAJEVO, Dec 15 (Hina) - The Bosnian government on Thursday adopted a bill to block the assets of fugitives indicted by the UN war crimes tribunal in The Hague and the assets of their helpers.

Foreign Trade and Economic Relations Minister Dragan Doko told the press the bill would regulate the imposition of temporary measures banning the management of all assets of indictees and people helping them hide.

He said the Bosnia and Herzegovina authorities wanted to show willingness to fully cooperate with the UN court as it was one of the fundamental conditions to join NATO's Partnership for Peace programme.

Under the bill, the State Prosecutor's Office would submit to the State Court a request to set temporary property management measures.

The bill will be sent to parliament.

A government decision blocking the assets of Hague tribunal indictees was in force since 2004, but it did not refer to their helpers.
