King Gyanedra expressed interests in Croatia's internal development, key aspects of Croatia's foreign policy and the situation in the region.
Mesic informed him of the current state of affairs in the process of Croatia's drawing closer to the EU and key problems in neighbouring countries. The Croatian president also used this opportunity to thanked king Gyanedra on the participation of Nepal soldeirs in a UN peace mission in Croatia during the 1990s war.
Mesic insisted on the need for strengthening of bilateral relations, notably in the economy.
King Gyanedra informed Mesic of the developments in Nepal and internal terrorism the country has been facing for more than a decade. He said his country was oriented towards democracy and added that local election would be held next year, while parliamentary election would be held in 2007.
King Gyanedra gladly accepted Mesic's invitation to visit Croatia.
