On this occasion Meirom presented his credentials to Biscevic.
The Foreign Ministry stated in a press release that the two officials expressed satisfaction with the highly developed relations between Croatia and Israel, and recalled that Croatian Prime Minister Ivo Sanader paid a successful visit to the State of Israel in June this year.
Biscevic also voiced satisfaction with the fact that Israel had decided that Croatia would be the first country in the area of the former Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia where it would open its embassy.
Biscevic and the Israeli ambassador agreed that this move would contribute to the promotion of Croatian-Israeli cooperation, notably in the economic and scientific fields as well as in the fight against terrorism and organised crime.
