SALZBURG, Aug 3 (Hina) - Croatian Prime Minister Ivo Sanader said in Salzburg on Wednesday he expected a positive assessment of the implementation of the government's action plan to locate Hague war crimes tribunal indictee Ante Gotovina as well as the launching of European Union entry negotiations.

"We have Austria's strong support and we expect some decisions in September," Sanader told Croatian reporters after attending a meeting of Southeast European prime ministers.

He described his two-day stay in Salzburg as very successful for Croatia's promotion.

Chancellor Wolfgang Schuessel told reporters that Austria would undoubtedly support the launching of Croatia-EU negotiations, adding that the first steps forward could be expected in September.

He said the Croatian government's action plan was being implemented as had been expected and that there should be no obstacles to the launching of the negotiations. He also added that the number of countries supporting Croatia was increasing.
