SPLIT, July 29 (Hina) - More than 100,000 tourists will be
vacationing in Split and Dalmatia this weekend, which is at the level of
figures from before the war, the head of the Split-Dalmatia County Tourism
Office, Mili Razovic, told Hina on Friday. A record number of some
15,000 passengers are expected to arrive at the Split airport of Resnik, which
has not seen such a large number of arrivals since it was built in 1972.
The city ferry port is ready for this weekend's tourist wave and it
will introduce six additional lines or more if required. Around 4,000 tourists
are expected to arrive on Saturday from Italy alone.
The county tourism office today also presented its new web site and CD
with tourist information.
