Atlantic Group buys Haleko sport food manufacturer

ZAGREB, June 20 (Hina) - Atlantic Group from Zagreb has acquired theGerman sport food manufacturer Haleko at a price of 103 million kuna,which will enable the Croatian company to continue expanding to otherinternational markets.
ZAGREB, June 20 (Hina) - Atlantic Group from Zagreb has acquired the German sport food manufacturer Haleko at a price of 103 million kuna, which will enable the Croatian company to continue expanding to other international markets.

Presenting the acquisition at a news conference in Zagreb on Monday, the chairman of the Atlantic Group Management Board and CEO, Emil Tedeschi, said Haleko was bought from the US corporation Weider Nutrition Int.

With the latest acquisition, Atlantic Group has 1,200 employees, including 270 in Haleko.

Atlantic Group expects its revenue at the end of the year to amount to 185 million euros, of which 40 percent will be earned outside Croatia, Tedeschi said.
