SARAJEVO, June 16 (Hina) - The Pakistani government has written off aUS$20 million debt which Bosnia-Herzegovina owed for a loan grantedduring the war, the Bosnian Foreign Ministry said in a press releaseon Thursday.
SARAJEVO, June 16 (Hina) - The Pakistani government has written off a US$20 million debt which Bosnia-Herzegovina owed for a loan granted during the war, the Bosnian Foreign Ministry said in a press release on Thursday.

The ministry said it was informed of the write-off by a diplomatic note, which today was sent to

the Bosnian Presidency, the Council of Ministers, and the government of the Croat-Muslim entity, for which the loan was intended.

The ministry said it supported the Pakistani government's decision, viewing it as an act of friendship and commitment to the strengthening of bilateral cooperation.

The Pakistani government approved the loan in 1992.
