SHANGHAI, May 30 (Hina) - Croatian Prime Minister Ivo Sanader, who has been on an official visit to China since last Thursday, on Monday said in Shanghai that he still had no knowledge on what Carla del Ponte's next report to the Security Council would look like, and declined to comment on an article run by the Vjesnik daily on Monday reading that the UN war crimes tribunal's Chief Prosecutor would on 13 June tell the Security Council that Croatia did not yet fully cooperate with the tribunal.

The Croatian daily quotes unnamed diplomatic sources as saying that in her report the tribunal's Chief Prosecutor Carla del Ponte will write that Croatian authorities have not made any significant progress in attempts to track down the fugitive general Ante Gotovina. According to the daily, such a remark will not be good enough for the European Union to achieve consent on the opening of membership talks with Croatia in June.

At this moment it is still not known how Del Ponte's report will be regarding Croatia's cooperation with the Hague tribunal, Sanader told Croatian reporters in Shanghai where they arrived to cover a Croatian-Chinese business forum.

"I am eager to see what Carla del Ponte will say. Del Ponte arrives in Zagreb on Thursday at the joint initiative by both sides. We want to exchange information through our talks and I will certainly ask her about the contents of her report to the Security Council. At the moment we do not know about it," Sanader said.

The Chief Prosecutor of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) will be in Zagreb on 2 and 3 June for talks on the runaway general Gotovina, the government's action plan for cooperation with the ICTY and on the referral of some cases from the tribunal in The Hague to Croatian courts.

On 13 June, Del Ponte is expected to deliver a report on Croatia's cooperation with the ICTY.
